The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, discussed with representatives of the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its countryside, and a number of industrialists, the difficulties and obstacles facing the operations of manufacturing foodstuffs and placing them in the market, and the measures taken by the Ministry to protect them from fraud and manipulation of Syrian specifications and standards.
Minister Salem stressed that the ministry is responsible for the internal markets and their stability, the flow of commodities and basic materials, and the prevention of their monopoly in a way that meets the needs of citizens, explaining that the work of the internal trade directorates is not only limited to controlling violations, but also to food safety and ensuring that food does not cause any harm to health.
With regard to the control elements, Minister Salem requested accuracy during the organization of the seizures, with an explanation of the violation in the body of the seizure in a detailed and accurate manner with pictures in the event that the violation was caught by sight and in flagrante delicto, and legal measures were taken according to Decree No. 8, but in the event that the violation was not clear or the inability to verify it Definitely, an observation report is organized showing the accurate and detailed description of the situation and signed by the patrol members. It is presented to the concerned manager directly and puts it in the true picture of the violation to take the appropriate decision in light of the reality so that no error or injustice occurs against any industrialist, with an emphasis on proper handling With the owners of industrial establishments.
