An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 was felt this morning (Sunday) in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan and in the surrounding provinces.
The US Tsunami Center issued a warning of possible waves in Taiwan, Korea, China and Japan.
Buildings were recorded in the capital swaying from side to side and residents uploaded videos to social media showing shaking moving and lamps shattering as a result of the strong earthquake.
At this point, there are no known casualties or serious structural damage as a result of the noise.
Yesterday a weaker earthquake was felt on the island and some buildings were slightly damaged.
