The Assize Court of Val-d'Oise judges from this Monday a man accused of having killed his father and having made the body disappear in 2002.

Twenty years ago, Jean Wittier, 73, disappeared.

Literally.

His neighbors never saw this gruff family man again who lived in a small pavilion in the garden city of Orgemont, in Argenteuil.

His body has never been found.

Accused of having killed him after a chaotic investigation, his son, Patrick, 59, was tried by the Assize Court of Val-d'Oise for murder on an ascendant and incurs life imprisonment.

He always denied the facts.

The trial is expected to last five days.
