Marco Reus does not have to worry about participating in the World Cup in Qatar because of his foot injury suffered in the derby against FC Schalke 04.
"I can give the all-clear a little bit," said Borussia Dortmund's sports director Sebastian Kehl on Sunday morning in the "double pass" at Sport1: "The tests yesterday didn't show a break.
He has a lateral ligament injury in his ankle, but not so serious that the World Cup is in jeopardy.”
Dortmund - He hopes "that Marco will be available to us again in three to four weeks."
The 33-year-old lost his ankle after half an hour in the derby on Saturday, put his hands over his face and was carried off the pitch.
Due to his injury, Reus will miss the two Nations League games against Hungary on Friday and England on September 26, which will also serve as endurance tests for the World Cup at the end of the year.
National coach Hansi Flick only called the offensive player into the squad for the two games on Thursday.
