After the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections announced the extension of the election period for two hours, the approved electoral centers in Homs governorate continue to receive citizens to cast their votes and choose their representatives in the elections for members of local administration councils.
The electoral center in the public hall in Homs city council witnessed an influx of participants in the electoral process, according to Afif Serafi, head of the center, who told SANA reporter that the center received a large number of workers in the sectors and institutions surrounding it, as it is in the middle of the city center, pointing out that the keenness to participate in the elections and after the extension of it is evidence of Awareness of the local community of its importance and the promotion of popular participation to develop reality for the better.
Jawad Qazak pointed out that his participation today is an embodiment of his right as a citizen and activation of his role in society to choose the right people who are concerned with solving service problems and improving services for the citizen.
Suad Al-Sankari pointed out that the responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the members of the local administration councils is great and requires more effort and work to find out the citizens' demands and problems and find appropriate solutions to put an end to their suffering with regard to the service reality.
At the electoral center in the Directorate of Real Estate Interests, Salah Al-Salem drew attention to the need to select members of local councils who have the will, responsibility and determination to improve the service reality of the people, take into account their interests and solve their problems.
In turn, Alia Abbas indicated that the elections today derive their importance from building trust between the local community and the municipalities, and as an image that reflects the Syrian people's contribution to the reconstruction process.
