Hacker-Pschorr has been supplying the Gasthaus Hansch in Feldkirchen with beer for no less than 150 years.

This was duly celebrated a few days ago.

Feldkirchen

- It is an anniversary that must be celebrated with beer: For 150 years, the Gasthof Hansch in the Feldkirchen district of Egling has been getting its beer from the same brewery - namely from Hacker, or Hacker-Pschorr.

For this reason, the landlords Karin and Robert Hansch recently gathered their loyal friends, regular guests and long-time companions around them.

An ox turned on a spit, the "Schronboch-Musi" played properly, the guests cheered the host couple and enjoyed one or the other beer.

"One and a half centuries of purchasing beer from a brewery is absolutely rare," emphasized Hacker-Pschorr Managing Director Andreas Steinfatt.

Together with Simon Huff, area sales manager for gastronomy, and Georg Baudrexl, regional sales director for gastronomy, Steinfatt personally thanked the innkeepers for the partnership.

In addition to a bouquet of flowers, the gentlemen had a plaque with the inscription “Gasthaus Hansch – 150 years Hacker Pschorr” and a certificate of honor in their luggage.

With a team of horses and a thirst-quenching train

Steinfatt met Karin and Robert Hansch last year at a gastronomy fair in Salzburg.

"We immediately agreed that you can't pass up an anniversary like this." Basically, there was clarity early on - "but there were serious discussions about the 'how'," revealed the brewery managing director with a wink.

Karin Hansch wanted a traditional team of horses, her husband Robert wanted the Hacker-Pschorr thirst-quenching train, which he already liked as a little boy with various Leonhardium trains.

Steinfatt: “Then we sat down for a beer – of course, of our beer.

The result: Both the team and the fire engine are at the door for the anniversary.”

Egling's Mayor Hubert Oberhauser congratulated both parties on the decade-long business relationship.

“150 years: That is an impressive number.

You have to get through that first.” In 1872, the German Empire had just been founded, and the Franco-Prussian War had ended a year ago.

And in the inn right next to the church of St. Georg in Feldkirchen, Hacker beer was served.

"A lot has changed since then, but the brewery, now called Hacker Pschorr, and today's Gasthof Hansch are still partners."

The head of the town hall, Oberhauser, is well aware that gastronomy is by no means a bed of roses these days.

“It is important to us as a community that such businesses are preserved.

We are also willing to do something about it.” The mayor immediately followed his words with deeds – he presented Karin and Robert Hansch with the municipal coat of arms.

Oberhauser: "So that when you start expanding your inn, you know exactly where to go to get the permits."
