The head of the right-wing National Rally in the French Parliament, Marine Le Pen, criticized Paris's participation in the anti-Russian sanctions, calling it a geopolitical mistake.
Today, TASS news agency quoted Le Pen as saying that France made a geopolitical mistake by participating in inappropriate and ill-considered sanctions against Russia, explaining that the European Union countries imposed these sanctions in a state of hysteria over the crisis in Ukraine.
Le Pen had previously confirmed that Western sanctions against Russia had proven ineffective and caused the French to suffer.
It is noteworthy that Russia asserts that the European Union has lost its independence and is now subject to US dictates and positions, and that it suffers from the consequences of the sanctions it imposed on Moscow.
