The elections for the local administration councils in all the Syrian governorates started today at 7 am through 7,348 polling stations, with an increase of 1,200 polling centers over the 2018 elections, with the aim of ensuring that the voter reaches the polling center easily.
The number of candidates for administrative units "provincial councils, cities, towns and municipalities" reached 59,498 candidates who will compete for 19,086 seats.
SANA correspondents reported that the approved electoral centers in the governorates began receiving citizens to cast their votes and choose their representatives in the elections for members of local administration councils.
