The first day of the Oktoberfest 2022 is over.
It was mostly peaceful, the mood was good.
Mayor Dieter Reiter needed three hits to tap the first barrel, "Layla" was played in two tents shortly after tapping - whereby in one of the tents it was probably a comedian's fault.
The first "beer corpse" was at 2:07 p.m., towards evening people came to the ambulance every minute.
The weather doesn't really want to play along on the second day of the Oktoberfest either.
Annoying, because a big and important tradition is coming up for today: the rifle and costume parade.

Oktoberfest 2022: Traditional costume and rifle parade on Sunday
Traditional costume clubs, sports and mountain riflemen, marching bands and music bands come from all over the world to move to Munich.
A total of around 9,000 people with 60 train numbers can be admired.
The Munich child, Viktoria Ostler, is leading the way, as was the case with the entry of the Wiesn landlords on Saturday.

The Mayor of Munich, Dieter Reiter, the Bavarian Prime Minister, Markus Söder, and the head of the Wiesn, Clemens Baumgärtner, also take part in festival carriages.
The parade took place for the first time in 1835 in honor of the silver wedding anniversary of King Ludwig I and Therese of Bavaria - at the same time the 25th anniversary of the Oktoberfest was celebrated.

Interested parties can of course watch for free, the parade moves through a large part of the old town.
The starting point of the festive parade is the Max II monument on Maximilianstrasse.

For spectators who want to be very close, grandstands have been set up along the route, from which you have the best views of the parade.
