Opinion The attacking parties are harming us Israel today

In the name of general equality and equality of opportunity, the need for bail was abolished, and this to allow every snotty-nosed and leper to present a more or less cuckoo list

No less than 40 parties have registered for the upcoming elections.

Among them are those that even those registered in them are not sure that they will vote for them.

Among the registered parties you can find the "New Order" party for the senior citizens, "The Pirates", "Me and You", the "Shema" party, "The Thirty Forty List", "Yesh Tash", "Burning Youth", "The Order of the Hour", "Human Dignity", "Advancement of the Status of the Individual", "The Jewish Heart", "Unification of Bnei Brit led by Rabbi Hubul Bashara", "Good and Bad Opinion", Vasura Al-Islami and the Biblical Bloc Party, and a series of other parties registered for the voters' choice alongside The known lists that serve in the outgoing Knesset.

In order to register a party, you don't need much - 100 signatures of Israeli citizens verified by a lawyer, and a fee of about NIS 2,000.

After you have registered in the party registry once, you can come back and present the list in every future election.

In the past, and before the Law of Parties was enacted, anyone who registered with the Central Election Commission had to give a bank guarantee for a considerable amount, which was absolute in favor of the state if that list did not receive at least one percent of the kosher votes.

In the name of general equality and equal opportunities, the need for bail was abolished, and this to allow every snotty-nosed and leper to present a more or less cuckoo list.

In the name of justice and equality, I would not be required to do this, if it weren't for the crazy costs of registering the parties for the elections, all from the taxpayers' money.

And what is it actually about?

It turns out that by law, the Central Election Commission is obligated to print for each and every party registered and approved by the Central Election Commission, as absurd as it may be, ballots according to the size of the electorate, that is, those with the right to vote, plus 30 percent.

A quick calculation shows that for each party the state prints, at our expense, nine million ballots.

Recently, a discussion was held at the Central Election Committee, where they expressed the opinion that the guarantee filter must be returned, in order to save the state the crazy costs.

They did not specify the amounts, and are also aware that it needs to be passed in legislation.

At the moment, I was told, they are waiting for the next Knesset to be sworn in and then they will prepare a bill that will be brought to the Knesset for discussion and approval.

The financial expenditure does not remain only in the printing of the ballots and all the logistics surrounding the counting of the votes, but also flows into big money - television and radio airtime of the propaganda broadcasts.

Any approved party can present itself in a video or broadcast on the television and radio channels, and according to the law, the television and radio channels are obliged to broadcast them without charging money.

This absurdity must stop.

It is not possible for the citizens' pockets and the state budget to finance the whims of all kinds of parties, whose chance of tickling the percentage of obstruction from below is non-existent.

We must go back and impose a surety bond of a considerable amount, at least NIS 100,000, and in my opinion even double.

This is so that people will accept responsibility for their actions and not trill the entire system with unnecessary whims.

It is the duty of the democracy to protect itself from its material, which costs the taxpayers a lot of money.
