Russia's Rostec has successfully tested a new helicopter on its first long-distance flight.
According to a statement issued by the company, carried by the RT channel, the new Mi-171A3 helicopter made its first independent regional flight as part of the flight test program and flew from Moscow to Petersburg, noting that all the helicopter equipment worked well without any notes. .
According to its developers, this helicopter has unique transport capabilities, with a maximum take-off weight of 13 tons, and it can carry 24 passengers and fly 1,000 kilometers per flight, depending on the main fuel tanks.
The helicopter can operate in different regions and climatic conditions and at temperatures ranging from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees Celsius. It is also equipped with a special system that enables it to land over sea water in conditions where the waves are 5 meters high.
