The head of the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections, Judge Counselor Jihad Murad, announced the end of the voting process for the local council elections.
Counselor Murad said in a statement to SANA that the vote counting operations in all governorates began with the presence of the candidates' agents.
The Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections had announced the extension of the election period for two hours in all electoral centers in Syria, until nine in the evening today.
