Citizens in the city of Jableh and its countryside continue to cast their votes in the local administrative council elections after extending the election process for an additional two hours to allow those who were unable to vote and exercise their constitutional right.

SANA’s reporter in the city monitored some of the citizens’ opinions about the electoral process and their hopes for the winning candidates in this entitlement, as Maryam Ali, Ahmed Shboul, Maysoon and Mona Al-Shughari stated that it is necessary to work honestly to serve the aspirations of the citizen towards raising the level of service.

University professor Marwan Esber indicated that these elections reflect a state of national cohesion and unity in light of the circumstances in which Syria is living, as well as embodying the state of victory by adhering to holding this constitutional entitlement on time.

In the countryside of Jableh, some of the participants expressed the general positive situation that these elections reflected, as citizen Ammar Hammoud from Siano village saw that participation in the elections is a duty to choose someone who advances the aspirations of young people, including securing job opportunities and improving the living situation, while pharmacist Ali Ahmed stressed that these elections are A democratic experience that allows young people to participate in choosing their representatives for local councils, in a way that contributes to developing society and building Syria.

In the Ain Shiqaq electoral center in the Jableh countryside, Muhammad Ali expressed his hope that the local councils will reach the candidates who deserve to bear the responsibility to achieve their goals in improving the service reality in their village.

Head of Al-Boudi Municipal Center, Nabil Habib, pointed out that the elections showed the desire of citizens to participate and cast their votes, indicating that the elections are going well and with full transparency.

A number of citizens stressed the need to choose honest personalities capable of continuous work to develop the services provided to the people as soon as possible.
