The crown and jewels that accompanied the coffin of Queen Elizabeth I for 10 days
were removed from St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Moments later, the baton broke and was deposited in the coffin, marking the end of the sovereign's service, before the coffin was lowered into the royal vault.
