Finally!

The Landsbergers had to do without their traditional and beloved event long enough.

So it quickly became clear: The Long Night of Art will take place, in any weather.

However, the weather gods didn't really mean it well at first and sent cold – and at 6 p.m. on the dot also wind and pouring rain.

So the samba group Outra Vez didn't start the night as planned on the main square, but in the inner courtyard of the historic town hall - and immediately heated up the audience with Brazilian sounds.

That must have impressed the weather gods too: He slowly let the rain end, but unfortunately not the cold.

But Outra Vez was able to move on, first under the VR bench pavilion, then further through the city - again and again the rhythmic drum sounds accompanied the art strollers, who set out to look behind every door,

Visual arts such as painting, photography, sculpture and handicrafts in different styles and materials alternated with readings, cabaret and music through to performances.

The artistic messages and their effects on the viewer were just as varied: refreshing and invigorating, funny, thoughtful, appealing, admonishing - but always remarkable and exciting.

Fascinating, for example, are the performances by the artists Andreas Kloker and Axel Wagner, which they developed specifically for the Long Night of Art as part of the exhibition “Zeit ist” and presented them in two exhibition rooms in the Zederngalerie.

Both solved the task of making time and heartbeat visible in different ways: Kloker wrote and painted in silence with water,

Ten years art association

A large exhibition of works by the Landsberg Art Association, which is also celebrating its tenth anniversary, started with a vernissage and introductory words from art historian Urte Ehlers on the evening before the art night in the columned hall.

Until September 25, 21 artists will be showing paintings, drawings, photography, printing techniques and sculptures.

Kunstverein chairman Rudolf Bille will also be present with new works in which he focuses on "Lost Places" - such as the plow factory or old billboards on which the transience of different layers is shown, explains Kunstverein spokeswoman Almut Walch.

As a guest exhibitor, Reinhard Fescharek from Marburg shows examples from his work cycle 2020-2022 and thus delivers a "homage to a grown material":

The members of the artists' guild also presented a varied exhibition of works in the town hall gallery.

The "young artists" of the guild, up-and-coming talents with painting, photography and street art, are also exciting in the old town hall of the VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee.

For the repeated time - and already a real crowd puller - there were also works by the artist group art@rational on display in the business premises of the VR-Bank next door.

Fascinating beings

One of the visual highlights was the "Duo Portrait Format", which strolled through the streets at dusk as an illuminated work of art on stilts.

Originally, the socio-cultural project Viva Randfallenen wanted to present a musical and dance excerpt of their audiovisual dance-theater experience "Moonlight" - an inclusive project by people with and without disabilities - but due to the weather, they decided to "move" through the Leaving the old town to draw attention to the theater play in October.

The Kunstnacht audience could guess from the strange troupe that this would lead to a strange, mystical world with wild creatures.

Whether folk music and hop music (including "high-performance sports accordion") with the group "Paprizka",

On the sidelines of the art night, the audiovisual exhibition by dieKunstBauStelle "Set the Night on Fire" on Infanterieplatz captivated many visitors - an exhibition developed by young people from Landsberg on the special importance of the Lechstadt: In 1937 Landsberg received the National Socialist honorary title "Stadt der Jugend" and became the site of the final rally of the HJ marches.

The conclusion of the art night: an inspiring evening that aroused curiosity and invited on a journey of discovery - but also gave the impetus for encounters and discussions.

The audience didn't let the weather dampen their spirits - and ended up dancing in the foyer of the Stadttheater to the DJ sound.
