The members of the collective "Save the shops of the Parisian Garden" are not giving up.

They have started a new pass of arms with the municipality of Clamart.

These opponents of the closure of Lidl in the Jardin Parisien district, which should make way for a fourth college in the city, again challenged Mayor Jean-Didier Berger (Free!) in an open letter addressed to the first magistrate, that they distributed this Sunday during a towing operation.

The members of the collective react to a letter sent to them last June by the mayor, himself in response to their petition for the maintenance of the supermarket, which had collected 3,500 signatures (online and paper) and had been returned to town hall last May.

A response that Jean-Didier Berger also addressed by name to many petitioners.

If the opponents do not say they are convinced by the answers given on the merits, their main grievance is the use by the municipality of the electoral lists to access their addresses and to be able to send them the mayor's answer by name.

This was also confirmed by Jean-Didier Berger during a municipal council last July, recalling that the “electoral list was available to everyone”.

An opposition adviser is considering the seizure of the Cnil

After consulting the National Commission for Computing and Liberties (Cnil), the group ensures that the response does not contain mandatory information such as the retention period of the data, the purposes for which they were collected or even the identity of the controller.

“Many of the signatories of the petition felt your letter was a form of pressure and were surprised that you wrote to them individually.

We are asking you, by this letter, to bring yourself into compliance with the law by guaranteeing us that you have not compiled a file of the signatories of our petition and by informing the people to whom you have written of their rights in terms of respect for personal data”, write the representatives of the collective in their leaflet.

"In view of the mayor's incomplete response to our question in the municipal council, we plan to seize the Cnil on possible irregularities relating to the protection of the personal data of the Clamartois signatories of the petition.

We invite the town hall to comply with the requirements of the GDPR, ”adds opposition municipal councilor David Huynh (EELV).

“This plan to remove Lidl is directly linked to the burying of very high voltage lines, which passed just above the supermarket, he still accuses.

Their burial now allows the construction of buildings in the Parisian Garden district, as well as nearly 2,000 additional housing units in the

rue de Versailles/D 906/LIGNE THT area.

The municipality is content to reply that the use of the electoral lists was done in compliance with the rules.
