At present, the body has been sent to the mortuary, and the identity is still being confirmed. It is a bold estimate that it is an old man in his 60s who disappeared in Danchai Mountain two to three weeks ago.

In any case, I hope that his family will mourn and change.

Regarding the disappearance of hiking, a Taiwanese mountain runner named "Paoshan Beast" was recently discovered.

"Running Mountain Beast" often participates in the search and rescue of missing persons, using his superior positioning ability, as well as his knowledge of instruments and mountains, to provide great help in search operations from time to time.

"Running Mountain Beast" Petr Novotny, currently living in Taiwan, was invited to share his experience in mountain search and rescue with firefighters.

And I especially want to let the public know how to improve their chances of survival through the channel of this running mountain beast.

One: After calling the police, don't move!

When calling the police, clearly express your location, such as providing the nearest gauge column or landform features, and then stay in place. Search and rescue is based on the information you provide. Therefore, random movement not only increases the difficulty of search and rescue, but also makes you more and more Danger.

Two: You must maintain your body temperature, and you must start to keep warm before nightfall

Once the body loses temperature, the situation is critical.

Be prepared to keep warm before night falls, it will be too late when you feel cold.

Therefore, before setting off, prepare multiple coats in case of emergency.

If you stay on the mountain after dark, remember to keep warm.

3: Do not set out to river valleys and mountains

Once the rivers in the valleys and mountains swell, the original roads will be covered, and the currents can wash you away, which is quite dangerous.

Four: Follow the original and developed mountain trails, do not trespass on unknown trails

If you randomly rush through unknown trails and increase the possibility of getting lost, you should arrange a hiking route before you set out, instead of walking around in the mountains!

Five: Learn the positioning instruments and other equipment used

Sharpen the knife before cutting down the tree.

Learn to understand the equipment in your hand, and use it properly first, otherwise it will be just a superfluous load to bring up the mountain.

Finally, don’t climb alone, let alone in bad weather. Although the habit of running alone is not recommended, we should now think about the experience of search and rescue of running wild animals, learn useful knowledge, and leave the bad Habit.
