On video: despite the war in Ukraine: thousands pray in Uman (Walla system!)

Despite the warnings from Israel and Ukraine, thousands have arrived in the last few days to Uman in Ukraine and plan to stay in the local town for the upcoming holiday.

In the documentation that arrived at Walla!

Hundreds are seen celebrating and dancing inside the tomb complex of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav.

"There are a lot of buses that make their way from all the borders, Poland, Moldova and Romania," says Haim Wietzhandler Maouman.

"People come to be with our Rabbi and trust the tzaddik that nothing bad will happen."

The thousands are expected to stay in Uman until the end of next week after the holiday and make their way back to Israel through European countries.

Bauman itself was prepared for the arrival of ten thousand people with the distribution of holiday meals, medical equipment and a special clinic and a mini field hospital for emergencies and more.

About three weeks ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sharpened the travel warning to Ukraine, especially to the city of Oman and its surroundings, due to the war with Russia.

In the ministry's announcement, they urged Israeli citizens to avoid coming to the territories of Ukraine, and Uman in particular.

"The explosive security situation includes the danger of bombing from the air or firing rockets also at civilian settlements and areas, including in the center and west of the country, which pose a real and immediate danger to life," said the Foreign Ministry statement, which urged Israelis still staying in Ukraine to leave the country's borders immediately.

The Foreign Ministry statement mentioned that Ukraine has been in a state of emergency since February 24, the day of Russia's invasion.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine published a statement in which it called not to come to Uman this year due to the war and the difficulty of guaranteeing their responsibility for the security and safety of worshipers.
