services in the United States and Latin America: "Toda la sangre".

The production tells the story of a journalist, a policewoman and an anthropologist who are on the trail of a serial killer in Mexico City and the ancestral way in which he chooses to kill his victims: Aztec rituals.

The series stars Aarón Díaz, who plays the journalist Eugenio Casasola;

Ana Brenda Contreras plays the police lieutenant Edith Mondragón and Yoshira Escárraga plays the anthropologist Elisa.

The press and the crimes in “Toda la sangre”

The first episode of the series shows the transfer of Casasola (Díaz), from an established newspaper to a tabloid, those we see in the newsstands with grotesque photos and tabloid headlines.

“We have all seen those newspapers,” Aarón Díaz tells Zona Pop CNN through an interview via Zoom.

“I always wondered who reads that?

And the answer is millions of people, they are widely read.

They were absurd to me, because that's what it's all about, the titles... when you go by and see the headlines [expression of surprise]”, said the actor.

Right in that world that might sound absurd, but in which, according to Díaz, there is magic, a particular art, is the character of Eugenio Casasola.

“Eugenio Casasola did not really dedicate himself to that, he was a serious journalist who is trying to give voice to those who do not have it, to be visible to the invisible and he finds that they send him to work in this other newspaper that he it seems absurd.

He doesn't understand what it's about, it's not the same language.

But he quickly discovers a story of a serial killer in Mexico City and wants to follow that story, he catches her eye.

He realizes that he is not an ordinary serial killer, that he is guided by something else that he does not know, ”says Díaz.

One of the aspects that most caught Diaz's attention about his character is the nobility that exists in the profession of journalism.

Diaz's introduction in the first episode of "Toda la sangre" may confuse some.

The actor's character looks like a homeless person.

And no, he was not on the street, it was the way he approached those people who have no voice to take him to a report.

“The character caught my attention, because he is a noble character.

Journalism is a noble job, it is giving a voice to those who do not have one.

And I really liked how passionate and how intense Eugenio Casasola is with his work.

I am the same with mine and that identifies me and draws my attention because I know that people like and support these noble characters, very human, "he said.

The homeless, the ubiquitous character in "All Blood"

Homeless people are a problem that not only affects Mexico: the United States also experiences it firsthand, as well as other regions of the world.

It is precisely this sector that inspired Díaz to build Eugenio Casasola.

According to the actor, to create his character he began to dress in a scruffy way and went to the streets.

“The first thing I did to start creating this character was to dress like this and I went to the streets and realized how strong she can be.

I realized in the hours I spent there, imagine the people who live there for days, weeks, months, years, decades!

They are people who are practically invisible.

The whole society turns its back on him,” says the actor.

According to Díaz, in that construction of the character he experienced indifference and perhaps dehumanization to which a homeless person is subject.

“It happened to me directly.

I saw how people turned around me, got off the sidewalk and went to the other sidewalk.

I was basically observing what it was like to be invisible in a city with as much movement as Mexico City.

He is very strong and that is just what shows the nobility of Eugenio Casasola.

He is there and has been living there for months to get to know these people and be able to get closer to them to tell their story.”

“Toda la sangre” is available at Pantaya in the United States and Puerto Rico.

In Latin America it can be seen on STARZPLAY.

The series premiered its first two episodes on September 15, but will have weekly premieres for the rest of the month.
