Do you know European Spindle, Ash Red Willow, Scotch Broom or even Sea Buckthorn?
All these species are typical of Hauts-de-France and are very likely to be found at home soon.
With Plantons le décor, which is back for the fourth year, interested people can order “trees, shrubs, fruit trees, climbing plants and local vegetable seeds across our territory”.
An approach that has attracted more and more Oisians over the years.
"In 2021, there were 1,600 trees that had been ordered, the demand is growing", says one at the Regional Natural Park Oise - Pays de France, which relays this regional system.
It is possible to place an order until next January 5, delivery will take place a month later, on February 4, in Orry-la-Ville.
More resistant plants
For this new edition, the idea is also to succeed in reaching public authorities.
With the intensification of climatic phenomena, linked to global warming, one thing is certain, we will have to plant more trees, “whether to waterproof the ground or create islands of coolness within cities”.
“With us, the municipalities have the guarantee that the plants will be adapted to our soils, therefore more resistant and everything is produced locally by nurseries in Hauts-de-France”, we remind the PNR.
To publicize the initiative, many events are organized in the department, throughout the autumn, around fruit trees.
And it starts on September 25 in Orry-la-Ville with From apple to apple juice.
