Mindelheim – A 28-year-old fell from a balcony (second floor) in Mindelheim on Friday evening.
The police initially suspected that the young woman's husband had played a key role in the fall.
Apparently, the woman fell six meters without external influence.
In the evening, a resident had called the emergency number that a woman from the second floor of the neighboring house had just fallen from the balcony and seriously injured herself.
After first responders had treated the fallen on site, the emergency doctor decided to transfer the 28-year-old to a special clinic by rescue helicopter.
Despite the enormous height of the fall, the woman's life is not in danger.
The question still arises: Why did the 28-year-old fall from the balcony?
According to the police, this was initially unclear.
Local residents had probably noticed a dispute between the woman and her husband, which is why the officials could not initially rule out that the 33-year-old husband was at fault.
The Mindelheim police arrested him on suspicion of attempted homicide.
However, the further investigations by the Memminger Kripo's permanent criminal service that night relieved the husband: According to this, the 28-year-old traveled from abroad to her husband in Germany for the first time this Friday.
A fight broke out in the shared apartment.
Finally, according to the police, the woman fled onto the balcony and climbed over the parapet herself.
"According to the current state of investigation, she then fell about six meters without external influence," explains a spokesman for the police.
After the investigators had questioned the 28-year-old, the 33-year-old was released in coordination with the Memmingen public prosecutor's office.
But the husband is not completely off the hook: the responsible department of the Memmingen Criminal Police Office is now investigating under the direction of the Memmingen public prosecutor's office on suspicion of bodily harm.
