President Bashar Al-Assad discussed with Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, Director of the Eastern Mediterranean Region at the World Health Organization, the active cooperation between the organization and the health sector institutions in Syria with the aim of improving the reality of the health response, whether in terms of combating epidemics and diseases or technical support with medical equipment and equipment.
During the meeting today, President al-Assad stressed that the unity of the regional health interest requires work and cooperation among all countries in the region to confront diseases that spread and are transmitted from one country to another.
In turn, Dr. Al-Mandhari expressed the organization’s appreciation for the support and facilities provided by Syria to the organization’s work in order to provide medical assistance to the Syrians on all Syrian territories, noting that Syria has always provided many initiatives at the level of the World Health Organization in various health fields.
