The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Armed Forces continued to carry out the tasks assigned to them in the context of the special military operation to protect Donbass, and eliminated dozens of Ukrainian militants and destroyed their positions in several regions.
In a press briefing today, the Ministry's spokesman, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said that in the last 24 hours, the Russian Air Force carried out intensive strikes with high-precision weapons on the places of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the 53rd, 58th and 93rd mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian forces in the vicinity of the towns of Toritsk, Zaitsevo and Nikolaevka, and bombed Also, the 80th Air Assault Brigade in Seversk, Donetsk People's Republic, where more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers were liquidated and 11 armored vehicles were destroyed.
Konashenkov said that the air force also targeted the gathering of manpower and equipment in the 46th air brigade of the Ukrainian forces in the town of Belogorka in the Kherson region and destroyed 3 units of armored vehicles and killed up to 15 Ukrainian soldiers, explaining that as a result of intense shelling on the temporary deployment point of the mechanized infantry brigade units No. 59 in the town of Pershutravnev, Dnepropetrovsk region, losses amounted to more than 30 Ukrainian soldiers and more than 50 wounded.
Konashenkov added that as a result of intensive fire strikes on the positions of personnel and equipment of the 128th Mountain Attack Brigade in the town of Dolenka and the 102nd Regional Defense Brigade in Ryabnova in the Zaporozhye Region, as well as the temporary deployment point of the Karpatskaya Sage extremist battalion in the city of Zaporozhye, more than 70 Ukrainian soldiers and fighters were eliminated, in addition to Destroy four units of armored vehicles.
Konashenkov indicated that the Russian forces targeted seven command posts of the Ukrainian forces in Verkhnikaminskoye, Vimka and Zaitsevo in the Donetsk People's Republic, Poltavka and Sharivno in the Zaporozhye region, Konstantinovka in the Kirovograd region and Barmashovo in the Nikolayev region, in addition to bombing 52 artillery units, manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian forces in 134 regions.
Konashenkov said that in the towns of Belozerka and Chervony Mayak in the outskirts of Kherson, two Tochka-O ballistic missiles were intercepted, in addition to the dropping of twenty-four shells of the Hemars and Olkha rocket launchers in the airspace of Volnovakha and Korsun in the Donetsk People's Republic, Kherson, Tavrisk, Pereslav, Veselo and Novaya Kakhovka in the outskirts of Kherson Chervony Promin, Nikolaev region.
Konashenkov stressed that since the beginning of the special military operation, a total of 294 aircraft, 155 helicopters, 1995 drones, 375 anti-aircraft missile systems, 5,028 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 839 combat vehicles with multiple launchers, 3,401 field guns and mortars, as well as 5,692 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
