Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a French-style Silicon Valley always on the lookout for talent

The national velodrome will host the Ile-de-France stage of the "Big tour" on Tuesday, an event around innovation, recruitment and development.


It is a node where companies from aeronautics, cybersecurity, high-tech industry are concentrated... To the west of Paris, the urban community of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines today constitutes one of the reactors of innovation in Île-de-France.

It is therefore no coincidence that the “Big tour”, a tour of France around innovation, recruitment and business creation organized by Bpifrance, chose the national velodrome for its Ile-de-France stage.

The operation planned for this Tuesday will compile 2,500 job offers, the possibility of participating in job-dating with around a hundred companies, as well as numerous conferences.

About 3,000 participants are expected.

If the candidates for employment will come from all over the region, the companies will be believed for a large part of them.

This highlights an entire local ecosystem based on tech, a sector in high tension that faces a shortage of qualified candidates.

Not to mention the Paris-Saclay university center of excellence.
