The Qatari diplomat Hind al-Muftah, who is known for her anti-Semitic and homophobic attitudes, will not be able to be appointed as the chairperson of the UN Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law Forum, following the statements she made recently.
Al-Muftah recently published tweets on her Twitter account in which she called Jews "enemies" and members of the LGBTQ community "disgusting".
In place of Al-Moftah, behind whom stood a very influential lobby, the ambassador of the Bahamas, Patricia Hermans, will be appointed.
Al Muftah has also been accused of spreading conspiracy theories about Western countries.
In the report submitted to the forum, the statements of al-Muftah were recorded, which she tweeted, among other things: "The Jews focus their investments in industry and the media, and this is why they rule the world as a tyrant." In another tweet she wrote: "The American Zionists control the media in the United States, and this is how they manage to achieve their anti-Islamic goals everywhere." And: "The expulsion of all Jews from Palestine is not only important to the Palestinians, but the goal of all of us, including you, me and us."

Al-Muftah calls the gay community "disgusting"
Regarding the gay community, Al-Muftah wrote: "God's curse is on the homosexuals and those who imitate them, and those who do acts like them, and those who pave the way for them and encourage them."
And also: "The protection of human rights has nothing to do with the rights of the gay community."
In a letter sent by the Swiss organization UN Watch, which follows the activities of the United Nations, the organization urged the United Nations to oppose her appointment to head the forum, which will open the week the World Cup in soccer, hosted by Qatar, also begins.
Following her non-appointment, the organization said: "We praise the president of the Human Rights Council, Federico Villegas, for acting correctly and rejecting the appointment of the hateful ambassador from Qatar. Hind al-Muftah is a staunch anti-Semitic who, for more than a decade, has been publishing despicable hate speech against Jews and members of the gay community, and spreading conspiracy theories about the countries of the West. She is the last person in the world who should lead the UN Human Rights Forum.
