On video: The morning after the sinkhole: Ayalon routes were opened to traffic, train traffic in Tel Aviv resumed (Corporation)
The Derech HaShalom exit at Netivy Elon is not expected to open before tomorrow evening (Tuesday).
The exit has been closed since Saturday afternoon, when the sinkhole opened near the interchange.
The lanes and railway tracks were blocked on Saturday and opened to traffic during the night, after the suspicion that more sinkholes would be created was removed.
According to estimates, the reason the sinkhole opened was the work on the Spiral Tower, the fourth of the Azrieli Towers.
Officials at the Ayalon Roads Company estimate that the sinkhole was created as a result of drilling carried out at the construction site of the Azrieli Towers, which caused the water below the ground to flow towards the road and open the hole.
Water below the surface of the earth flowed and caused the hole to open.

The sinkhole was plugged with the help of Solel Bona and Azrieli took responsibility for the costs.
The Ayalon routes themselves have been thoroughly checked to make sure there are no additional sinkholes.
The closure of the lanes on Saturday caused traffic chaos, and threatened to paralyze Tel Aviv, and the transition from the north of the country to the south with the help of the lanes and the train.
