The Wounded Homeland Project, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture of Homs, launched today its first cultural event during a literary evening revived by the wounded Saer Shiha in the Dr. Sami Al-Droubi hall at the Arab Cultural Center in Homs, in the presence of a crowd of intellectuals and interested persons.
The wounded man began the rest of his evening by reciting a number of poetic poems that varied in their contents, so that they all converge on one title, which is love and loyalty, in a flirtatious style where the love of the beloved is inseparable from the motherland, using in his poems the methods of modern poetry between weighted and poetry in the style of rhyming narration.
He began the evening with a poem in which the homeland pledged to give and give, then followed it with flirtatious poems, including a suspended date, witness, drunkenness, olive fragrant, the seasons coup, coffee wounds, something of memory and nostalgia for the cheeks.
The evening concluded with the poem of the wounded, which he wrote as a token of loyalty to the pure, intelligent blood that was shed so that the homeland may live.
Between the poem and the other, the wounded man was accompanied by the rest of his wounded comrades, Nofal Al-Hassan on the oud, Kasser Haddad on the violin, and Jalal Razzouk on the piano, by presenting patriotic songs and immortal melodies.
In a statement to SANA’s cultural bulletin, the wounded Saer Shiha said: He is proud of his affiliation with the Wounded Homeland project, as it is one of the important institutions that preserved the nation’s children from the wounded, the living martyrs, whose blood was shed for the sake of the nation’s pride.
And he indicated that his injury was when he responded to the call of the homeland in the year 2013 in the Al-Qusayr region, and the hand of treachery overtook him, causing him to lose sight in his left eye and part of his leg. University projects as well as poetry systems.
The Coordinator of the Wounded Watan project in Homs, Muhammad al-Mulhim, indicated that those in charge of the Wounded Watan project have absolute faith in the capabilities of our wounded and hold their hands to reach the highest levels of creativity and achievement.
The evening was attended by Rashad Ali, General Manager of the Wounded Homeland Project in Syria and head of the Arab Writers Union branch in Homs, Omaima Ibrahim.
