Schools can collect application forms from their respective regional education service offices tomorrow (20th), while special child care centers and vocational training bureaus can collect application forms from the Special Duty Office of the Education Bureau.


Parents should complete the application form and return it to the school they are attending. Schools are required to return the completed form to the Education Bureau on or before November 4 for follow-up.

The EDB will generally disburse the subsidy gradually within about six weeks after receiving the completed application, and will notify parents of the progress of the application through SMS and email in due course.

Students studying non-local programs without asset inspection can apply

The Government provides a student grant of $2,500 per school year for secondary day school, primary school and kindergarten students, which will be regularized from the 2020/21 school year to reduce the burden of parents on education expenses.
