On video: Riots in Iran following the death of the young woman, 22-year-old Mehsa Amini, who "was negligent in wearing a hijab" (Meerkat Walla!)

The riots that broke out following the death of the young woman Mahsa Amini in Iran, after she was arrested by the morality police, refuse to subside.

A Kurdish human rights organization reported this evening (Tuesday) that at least two people were killed in clashes with the police in the city of Divendra in the Kurdish region of Iran.

The organization also claimed that 15 people were injured in the riots.

These reports have not been officially confirmed.

Today, the Iranian police gave a version according to which it was an "unfortunate incident", but denied the accusations that led to the demonstrations, which entered the third day, mainly in the Kurdish region of Iran.

A video posted on Twitter showed the protesters in the city of Divendra throwing stones at the security forces.

According to reports, a trade strike was declared in the Kurdish cities.

The hashtag #MahsaAmini on Twitter garnered 1.8 million mentions.

Amini, 22, was visiting her family in Tehran when she was arrested on Tuesday by the police unit responsible for enforcing the modest dress code for women, which includes a requirement to cover the head in public.

According to the claim, she violated the law.

She died in hospital a few days after the arrest.

Headscarves have been mandatory for women in Iran since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

In today's police statement, Tehran Police Chief Hossein Rahimi said that the claims that the police are to blame for the young woman's death are "cowardly accusations".

According to him, the police did everything they could to keep Amini alive, and she was not physically harmed at all.

"This is an unfortunate incident for us, and we hope that we will never witness such cases," said Rahimi.

He showed a video where Amini is seen, as it were, entering a room and sitting next to other people.

He then showed a segment later in the video, where she is talking to a man who is checking her clothes.

In the video, the woman raises her hands to her head and then collapses.

Cracks in the skull and hemorrhages in the brain.

A report on a news site in London that he claimed obtained a CT scan of Amini

Amini's family was told at the time of her arrest that she would be released from the police station after a "re-education lesson".

The state media quoted the family as saying that Amini HaBrea was rushed to the hospital in a coma, just hours after the arrest.

In videos uploaded to social networks, crowds were seen gathering outside the Kasara hospital where Amini was treated before her death.

The police later claimed that Amini had health problems and died as a result, but yesterday her father told a news site that she had no health problems, blaming the police for her death.

The father also said that there were bruises on her body.

The Al Arabiya network reported this evening that a London news website obtained a CT scan of Amini's skull.

According to the site, the scan showed cracks in the skull and bleeding in the brain.

This is in contrast to the police version according to which no force was used on Amini.
