Autumn is approaching in Germany.

Temperatures drop by up to two degrees at night.

But there is also a sunny ray of hope.

Munich – The Oktoberfest started in Munich at the weekend – and it was pretty rainy.

But now relief seems to be in sight.

The coming week could be sunnier for all of Germany.

But the summer clothes still have to stay in the basement.

It won't get warm like summer again.

And Indian summer, if you can call it that, is short-lived.

Weather change: A few sunny days for Germany - but temperatures up to two degrees

"It's getting friendlier now, but it doesn't have much to do with Indian summer.

It's still more like autumn and the nights are getting really cool," announces meteorologist Anna Gröbel at

.

Frosty temperatures are expected for the nights from mid-week.

The DWD predicts a "temperature drop to 11 to 2 degrees" at night.

Especially in the east and south there can be "regional frost near the ground".

In some places there can also be air frost up to a height of 2 meters, according to the meteorologist.

Cool prospects that are looming after the first snow forecasts.

Apart from the temperatures at night, the weather is becoming friendlier.

The last showers should reach Germany on Wednesday.

After that it will be dry and in many places even sunny.

The high pressure area over London, which brought Queen Elizabeth a sunny state funeral on Monday, is now also moving to Germany.

After the fog cleared, the weather forecast from the DWD reads “a lot of sun and mostly dry”.

The forecasts promise temperatures of up to 21 degrees in the southwest towards the end of the week.

It will probably stay cooler in the southeast.

The forecast of the week at a glance:

Tuesday

more frequent showers/thunderstorms, 12-17 degrees

Wednesday

A few final showers, 17-19 degrees (South: 12-16 degrees)

Thursday

Lots of sun and mostly dry, 14-20 degrees

Friday

Sunny, up to 21 degrees in the southwest

Prospects for the first autumn storm: It can get rainy again at the weekend

After the short breather from the precipitation, there are signs of a few more showers next weekend (September 24th/25th).

And a first autumn storm could also be imminent at the beginning of next week.

"On the coasts and on the mountains strong and gusty winds from western directions," reports the DWD.

The meteorologist Anna Gröbel prefers to call it an autumn storm.

Of course, given the length of the forecast, this is not yet certain.

So we are slowly heading towards October.

According to forecasts for autumn, it could be a little too warm and, above all, quite dry.

Meanwhile, many countries, including Italy, are struggling with heavy rainfall and flooding.
