The success of the Sweden Democrats is almost entirely due to the public's dissatisfaction with the country's immigration policy and the political correctness that surrounds this subject.
For a long time, Sweden was the European country which received the most asylum seekers in relation to its population.
For many years the rate of immigration was faster than the American record during the transatlantic immigration of the 1890s. Sweden was a homogeneous country and when migrants were received there they came mainly from other European countries.
But, due to excessive policy, the share of first- and second-generation non-Western migrants has risen from 2% in 1980 to around 20% today…
