Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

Dozens of Palestinians today, during a vigil, called on the international community and human rights and human rights institutions to urgently intervene and pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their crimes and violations against the prisoners and to release the patients, especially the prisoner with cancer, Nasser Abu Hamid, who has reached a critical stage that threatens his life.

The Palestinian Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the sit-in organized by the institutions of the prisoners, the Palestinian national forces and the families of the prisoners in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank raised pictures of the martyrs and prisoners and banners condemning the crimes of the occupation and the repression, violations and brutal practices of the prisoners, amid suspicious international silence.

The participants stressed that the physical and psychological torture and isolation of the prisoners are a war crime, especially patients who are subjected to silent killings through deliberate medical negligence.

About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 who need urgent medical intervention due to the policy of deliberate medical neglect against them.
