So far there can hardly be any talk of a golden autumn in Bavaria.

But now it's getting warmer - but only for a short time.

Then the temperatures plummet again.

Munich - Wet, cold, gray, frosty - there are many adjectives that would aptly describe the weather in Bavaria over the past few days.

However, very few of them refer to a golden autumn, which many would have wished for - especially with regard to the Wiesn taking place in Munich.

Weather in Bavaria: Drama in the Alps with lots of fresh snow

Over the past weekend it snowed in the Alps, sometimes even heavily.

This made the dramatic rescue attempts of a missing 24-year-old climber extremely difficult. On Tuesday, September 20, the young man had been missing for more than 70 hours.

On Tuesday, the weather in Bavaria was also very mixed.

In many places, a thick layer of clouds covers the sky, it rains again and again - in the Alps even more snow can fall.

According to the German Weather Service, "a further five to ten centimeters of fresh snow can be expected due to repeated snow showers".

Forecast: Brief autumn high - followed by another fall

But it won't stay that way: The weather conditions will improve as early as Wednesday, September 21 - it will be a little warmer and should remain largely dry.

On Thursday and Friday the sun will finally come out again, the sky will clear up, the temperatures will climb to around 14 degrees in Munich and 16 degrees in Nuremberg, according to the latest YouTube video from

Meteorologist Adrienne Jeske from

also explains that "the next low pressure area is already ready".

The ensemble forecast shows that it will be significantly cooler and rainier by next Sunday, September 25 at the latest.

Hardly any golden autumn in Bavaria - but lots of rain and cool temperatures

According to the meteorologists, people in Bavaria can look forward to a brief rise in temperature towards the weekend - but then disillusionment quickly follows.

For the entire coming week there is also little hope for the otherwise so beautiful Wiesn weather.

It will probably remain rather cool, gray and wet.

Adjectives that very few would have wished for at the beginning of autumn – but with which you have to be content for the time being.
