The youngsters of three traditional costume clubs from Tegernsee came together for a special event: The young members met for a common Plattler rehearsal.
Rottach-Egern
– The boys platter to the rhythm of the music, while the dirndls “drum” in a circle before they dance together as a couple to the waltz – really successful platters have to be learned.
The youth groups of the three Rottacher and Kreuther traditional costume associations Hirschbergler, Wallberger and Leonhardstoana are on the best way to imitate the adult costumers.
From Easter to September, the six to 15-year-old girls and boys meet weekly and then for two hours for the Jugendplattler rehearsal to practice the dances under the wing of the respective youth leader.
They show what they can do, especially at forest festivals, but also at the youth afternoons of all traditional costume clubs or at local evenings.
After two years of Corona break: Finally a common Plattler rehearsal again
Once a year, the three clubs meet with the youth groups - that's the custom.
After a two-year forced break due to Corona, it was time again.
Around 100 participants met in the Hirschbergler hut on Wallbergstrasse for a joint youth platter rehearsal.

"Everything that young people enjoy was on the program," says Hirschbergler board member Martin Strillinger.
"They danced and sang as they pleased, without a fixed programme." Apparently the two-hour "rehearsal" was a lot of fun for the youngsters.
Trachtlers cannot complain about a lack of youngsters
And the traditional costume clubs cannot complain about a lack of young people anyway.
"Thank God we have fewer people leaving after the Corona break," says Strillinger, who is nevertheless happy about anyone who wants to get actively involved in the traditional costume association.
