The Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority announced that judicial police teams have been formed within the authority concerned with controlling the fixed internet services market and started their work within the telecommunications and post sectors, in accordance with the law governing communications and post.
The authority indicated in a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, that the police teams, as part of the follow-up to the fixed Internet services market, seized one of the points of sale of the violating gates, which exploits subscribers and sells them the gates at a large and violating tariff.
The authority confirmed that the seizure will be referred to the competent judiciary to take legal measures against the violating point of sale, and the Internet service provider to which that violating point belongs is followed up in accordance with the regulations of the subscriber service center.
The authority circulated to internet service providers to follow up and audit the procedures for selling the gates by points of sale, their agents and others, especially with regard to their commitment to the tariff approved by the authority and informing it of the violations committed.
The authority called on all subscribers to its services to contact the numbers affiliated with its judicial police, which are 0118844924 and 0987110715 in the event that they are exposed to any exploitation from the points of sale of Internet portals, in order to guarantee their rights and prevent their exploitation by any service provider.
