The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), started today the work of the first training workshop on the application of the placement form for newly registered in the category (B) experimental developer curriculum, in the Ministry's building.

The two-day workshop targets the heads of the departments of basic education, guidance, planning, international cooperation and informatics, and the head of the compulsory education division in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Hama, Daraa, Quneitra and As-Suwayda.

The Assistant Minister of Education, Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Hammad, stressed the importance of the workshop for its training of education directorates on the mechanism of applying placement and registering students in the developed category (B) curriculum using the approved registration forms and according to a studied evaluation mechanism during the school year and revealing the strengths to strengthen them and the weaknesses to address them He indicated that at the end of this course a national test will be conducted according to a unified methodology and an accurate standard.

In turn, the Director of the Education Directorate in the Ministry, Imad Hazeem, spoke about the topics of the workshop, which is to compensate for educational loss through the adoption of a unified methodology in applying the developed category (B) curriculum in 112 basic education schools at the level of Syria through the establishment of two training workshops in various governorates, determining responsibilities and distributing roles For those concerned with applying this curriculum, pointing out that the workshop is a participatory work between several directorates in the concerned governorates.

For his part, the head of the Department of Basic Education in the Education Directorate, Dr. Rami Al-Dhalli, explained that this workshop targets the heads of the concerned departments in the governorates in two batches with the aim of unifying the work mechanism for cooperation between these departments in the experimental curriculum for category (B) with regard to the placement form and the mechanism of work on it in all targeted schools .

In turn, the Head of the Compulsory Education Division in the Directorate of Education, Sherine Hassan, indicated that the work mechanism is reflected in the role of basic education by accepting students returning from dropouts and registering them according to placement forms, then issuing the results, following up on the opening of the divisions according to the results of the levels, assigning teachers subject to the training course of the curriculum developed for these people and following up The progress of its work in addition to the completion of the necessary statistics.

For his part, the head of the electronic school department in the Informatics Directorate, Ayham Ismail, explained the role of the Informatics Directorate in collecting data according to a special tool for the curriculum category (B) from the governorates, collecting them in one central database, and then producing the required reports, pointing out that the tool works on extracting the cover page for each student and distributing it Students in the examination halls and on the note card.

The workshop was attended by the relevant directors of the central administration and the education official in UNICEF, Osama Antabi.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Education will hold the second training workshop on September 22 and 23 for the governorates of Aleppo, Idlib, Lattakia, Tartous, Al-Hasakah, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa.
