Three people were killed during demonstrations in Iranian Kurdistan in protest against the death of young Mahsa Amini, 22, after her arrest by the morality police, the governor of the province announced on Tuesday, quoted by the Fars agency.

During a press conference, the governor, Ismail Zarei Koosha, indicated that the three deaths were “suspicious”, speaking of “conspiracy fomented by the enemy”.

The latter claimed that one of the victims was killed by a type of weapon not used by Iranian security forces, according to Fars.

On Sunday, demonstrations had already broken out in Tehran and Iraqi Kurdistan after the announcement of the death on Friday of Mahsa Amini.

The Iranian girl was arrested on September 13 by the police unit responsible for enforcing the Islamic Republic's dress code for women, including the wearing of the headscarf in public, while she was in Tehran on a visit with his family.

After spending three days in a coma, Mahsa Amini finally died last Friday in hospital.

While state television aired a short surveillance video showing a woman portrayed as Mahsa Amini collapsing at the police station after a discussion with an officer, the victim's father, Amjad Amini, casts doubt on that version .

He told Fars on Monday that he “does not accept what (the police) showed him” because, according to him, “the video was cut”.
