Peng Chau fell into the sea incident.
At about 1 am, it was reported that a man was drinking and chatting with his wife in a restaurant opposite Peng Chau Pier.
During the period, the man reported to go to relieve himself, but did not return for a long time.
Not long after, a restaurant staff found the man drowning in a coma on the sea off the pier, and immediately jumped into the sea to save people, but the man fell into a coma after being rescued.
Rescue personnel rushed to the scene and urgently called a helicopter of the flight service team to take the male victim to the Eastern Hospital of Hong Kong Island for emergency treatment, accompanied by his wife to the hospital.
The male victim, surnamed Lin, is 61 years old.
It is understood that he has regained consciousness after first aid.
The police are involved in the investigation and are trying to find out the cause of the fall into the sea and whether it was an accident.
The helicopter of the flight service team rushed the victim to the Eastern District Hospital from Peng Chau for emergency treatment.
