The PS president of the Occitanie region Carole Delga, opposed to the Nupes agreement with LFI, judges that a "
credible project between the liberalism of Emmanuel Macron and the bolivarism of Jean-Luc Mélenchon
" is "
possible and essential
" , in an interview with
the Express
on Tuesday 20 September.
While organizing Sunday in the Aude "
the Meetings of the left
", which should bring together some 1400 people, Ms. Delga judges that the Nupes is "
a relative success of opposition, a success for LFI especially and it stops there
”.
"
I don't do politics to get a high score and stay in opposition, but to win elections so that I can change people's lives
," she says, believing that "
we need a left united, but a left of responsibility that can access power to change things
”.
"I don't have time for these controversies"
She says that “
only 24% of French people trust Nupes to influence national politics.
Personally, I prefer to talk about France, especially at a time of democratic, social and climatic crises.
We have to act and that's why we have to work rather than making endless declarations without ever getting our hands dirty
”.
“
Some are in the little phrase to advance their notoriety, not to advance our society
,” she regrets.
“
They talk all day long on the news channels or on social networks, trying to split, but what are they really doing?
Nothing.
Me, I'm up and at work, I don't have the time and the taste for these controversies
, ”she continued.

Judging that "
the value of work and the defense of workers are historically driven by the left
", she calls for "
taking up this subject
".
"
We need a much fairer remuneration for work, we must better take into account its arduous nature
", but also "
have a reflection on the chosen profession and the right to change it, lifelong training
", adds she.
Finally, she invites the left to work “
on six major themes: education, health, work, reconciliation of the French, security and in a transversal way the climate.
Let's be very ambitious about school: let's go back to the four and a half day week, improve teacher training and pay them more
“, she proposes in particular.
