A number of politicians received invitations from the Hong Kong government yesterday (20th) and invited them to attend the "November" event in the name of Chief Executive Li Jiachao to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Several politicians have successively received invitations from the Hong Kong government to attend the "11th" event in the name of Chief Executive Li Jiachao.
Guests are required to take a quick test before entering the venue
The flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wanchai at 8:00 am on October 1, followed by a cocktail reception at the exhibition.
According to the instructions for guests, in order to reduce the risk of the epidemic, guests who are subject to compulsory quarantine should not attend the celebration, and attendees must undergo a rapid test before attending the event on the same day, and only with a negative result can enter the event venue.
All guests must scan "Safe Travel" when entering the event venue. Those who are classified as "red code" and "yellow code" are not allowed to enter the event venue.
Last year's "November" National Day reception was officiated by then Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor and delivered a speech. Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Liang Zhenying, Director of the Liaison Office Luo Huining, Chief Judge of the Court of Final Appeal Zhang Juneng, Director of the Office of Homeland Security in Hong Kong Zheng Yanxiong, and three secretaries attended.
On July 1 this year, on the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland, the chairman of the pro-democracy district council was invited to attend the celebration. The chairman of the Tsuen Wan District Council, Chen Wanchen, the chairman of the Tai Po District Council, Mao Jiajun, and the Democratic Party member of the Sham Shui Po district, Yuan Haiwen, said that they had not received the National Day. In the invitation to the event, Chen Wanchen said that he would consider attending if he was invited.
