The activities of the Resistance Cinema Week, organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Lebanese Association of Arts (Resalat), kicked off this evening with a concert by the Syrian National Band for Arab Music led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah and the screening of the film “The Buried Secret” directed by Ali Ghafari.

The band presented a bouquet of songs of the resistance rooted in the conscience of the Syrians through a variety of combinations with which the audience interacted, from the song Fateh Ward to I am Syrian and my land is Arabic to the songs of the military row, the plan of your foot, fire your merciless fire and concluded with the song Ahl al-Azm.

Dr. Lubana Mushouh, Minister of Culture, said in a speech during the opening: The resistance is a thought that we practice and a daily struggle against calls of despair, submission and submission, and that the resistance has many forms that aim to stave off injustice and achieve the right, stressing that the intellectual resistance is synonymous with and supportive of the field resistance and it prepares the means to mature and produce awareness and awareness. It produces determination, faith, sacrifice, and loyalty.

She indicated that cinema, which is one of the finest forms of expression, seeks a higher goal of perpetuating the values ​​of resistance, and thanked the Lebanese Society for its good cooperation and efforts to highlight the cultural event of resistance.

In turn, Muhammad Khafajah, director of the Resalat Association, thanked the Ministry of Culture and the General Film Organization for hosting the festival, stressing the importance of cooperation with it, which resulted in the establishment of the festival in this ancient place, Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

He stressed that Syria and Lebanon were united by one destiny, so they chose to resist the Israeli occupation and the takfiri groups, so the blood of the two peoples mixed, and the result was a great victory on this land.

And he indicated that these events are further evidence of the victory of Syria, which emerged from the battle, and will return stronger than ever, with the determination of our leadership and its people.

Director Najdat Anzour stressed the importance of holding a cinema week specialized in the culture of resistance, pointing out the necessity of constantly showing films related to the resistance on television and social networking sites to learn about the importance of this cinema, which is produced in difficult and very precise conditions.

Anzour pointed out the importance of films that rise to the international level, noting that he participated with the Resalat Foundation in a film about a qualitative operation of the resistance in southern Lebanon against the brutal Israeli enemy, and the name of the film was Ahl Al-Wafa.

The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Moushouh, the Director of the Resalat Association, Muhammad Khafaga, and the Director of the General Foundation for Cinema, Murad Chahine, honored the artists Duraid Lahham, Ayman Zeidan, and Neamat Al-Badawi, the head of the Syndicate of Artists in Lebanon and the Resalat Lebanese Association for Arts.

The film week opened with the presentation of the artwork “I fell,” a 14-minute scenic artwork that simulates the fall of Tel Aviv, prepared and produced by 150 international and Arab artists, with the participation of a group of Lebanese and Syrian artists, to present what suits Palestine, then the movie “The Buried Secret” directed by Ali Ghafari from Lebanon.

The film tells the story of a Lebanese resistance fighter who left his home in southern Lebanon and blew himself up in a patrol of the Israeli occupation in occupied Jerusalem.
