Good news for the southern settlements:
the Finance Committee of the Knesset approved today (Tuesday) Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman's proposal for the outline of compensation to businesses for indirect damages caused to them as a result of the "Dawn" operation.
The compensation outline includes several compensation paths depending on the type of business affected and the distance from the Strip.
The businesses located in the area up to 40 km from the Gaza Strip can file a claim through the wage track. The condition for the payment of compensation to the businesses is the payment of the wages to the workers who were absent during the fighting days.

The route is intended for businesses due to the loss of wages paid to employees who live up to 40 km from the Gaza Strip. Businesses will be compensated with 460 shekels per day for each employee who is absent due to supervision of his child or an employee employed in an educational institution that is closed according to the directives of the Home Front Command or an employee who is absent from work in light of the directives of the command the back of the neck
In addition, the outline includes a "wage" route for settlements that were "locked down" and entry and exit from them were prohibited and/or settlements to which access was limited due to the blocking of roads, during the period preceding the start of the "Dawn" operation.

Also, the plan includes a red route - under which Sefer settlements will be allowed to choose between compensation according to the regulations of the temporary order and compensation according to the main regulations.
More specifically, the new outline also offers a red route for farmers in light of their injury from the tense situation in front of Gaza.
As part of it, dedicated compensations will be given to those involved in the agricultural sector located in an area up to 7 km from the Gaza Strip (in accordance with the list published in the regulations and the executive order).
The committee also approved the establishment of a compensation track for businesses in the food and events sector.
The businesses will be entitled, in addition to the payment of wages for the employees who were absent, to an allowance for damage caused by spoiled raw materials.
This is an addition of 20% on the value of indirect damage for the days of absence due to the security situation.
