The gendarmes intensify the controls against wild races on the A1

Friday evening, an operation against the "run", races organized by speeders, made it possible to raise several speeding tickets.

About twenty soldiers, from the motorway platoon of Senlis, the motorized brigades of Crépy-en-Valois and Clermont, the surveillance and intervention platoon of the gendarmerie of Chantilly (PSIG) and the canine investigation group of Senlis, carried out an anti-run operation on the A1 in the south of the Oise.

With the main objective of dissuading potential participants in these wild races from choosing the A1 as their playground.

Friday evening, about twenty speeding tickets were noted, including three for speeds greater than 170 km / h, on an axis which remains limited to 130 km / h.

Some of these offenses have been recorded in the context of run, which the military want to quickly put an end to.

The control also revealed other types of criminal behavior, such as driving under the influence of narcotics or without insurance.

For some of these oblivious motorists, the evening ended as a pedestrian as their vehicles were impounded for seven days.
