The decision was made at the end of the security assessment of the situation and in light of the guidance of the political level.
The closure will begin on Sunday, New Year's Eve, September 25 at 4:00 p.m.
The crossings will be opened and the closure lifted on Tuesday, September 27 at 11:59 p.m., subject to the assessment of the situation.

The Gilboa (Jelma) crossing will open on Tuesday in the morning, for the entry of Israeli Arabs on horseback only.
On Yom Kippur, the closure will begin on Tuesday, October 4 at 00:01.
The crossings will be opened and the closure lifted on Wednesday, October 5 at 11:59 p.m., Yom Kippur, subject to the assessment of the situation.
In Sukkot, the closure will begin on Sunday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m.
The crossings will be opened and the closure lifted on Monday, October 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Also, the closure will apply on Sunday, Hosheana Rabba, October 16 at 4:00 p.m.
The crossings will be opened and the closure lifted on Monday, October 17 at 11:59 p.m., subject to the assessment of the situation.
Imposing a closure on the deadline will be determined later according to the assessment of the situation.
According to the IDF, during the closure, transit will be allowed in humanitarian, medical and exceptional cases only and subject to the approval of the coordinator of government operations in the territories.
