He also pointed out that he was very saddened by the rejection of his historical research results by the Hong Kong Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the time of the case, so he went to Gao Deng to publish some sensitive and sensational posts to vent his anger, with no intention of inciting others.
The trial was adjourned until tomorrow morning.
Defendant Chen Zhenming (27), who denies one count of inciting others to manufacture explosives, was charged with illegally inciting other unidentified persons to manufacture explosives, namely nitroglycerin, in Hong Kong on November 17, 2017.

The prosecution plan alleges that the defendant has been a member of Gordon since November 1, 2014, and the user name is "Tiandichenyunfanye".
On the afternoon of November 17, 2017, when a man surnamed Qiu was browsing Gordon, he found a post titled "It is not ruled out to make nitroglycerin explosives to bomb the PLA barracks".
The content of the post, which detailed the materials and 10 steps for making nitroglycerin explosives, attracted 60 comments from netizens.
The police later retrieved a total of 19 posts posted or commented on by users of “Tian Di Chen Jun Fan Ye” on Gao Deng, which were published between November 6 and 18, 2017.
The content of these posts was abusive in nature, indicating that the defendant had an anti-government social stance and an intention to advocate violence.

The defendant was subsequently arrested on May 3, 2018, and admitted to writing and publishing the posts in question under caution.
At first, he said that he was in a bad mood on the day of the crime and played a computer game at home alone with the plot of the PLA barracks being bombed, but he could not remember the name of the video game.
The nitroglycerin explosive material and the manufacturing steps described in the post are copied from Google search results.
But soon after, he changed his name to be a computer programmer, and planned to develop a video game and publish a post as an advertisement, but the game was still in the preparation stage and there was no actual progress.
The judge ruled that after the evidence of the case was established, the defendant appeared in court to defend himself, claiming that his main job was a historian, mainly focusing on pre-Qin philosophy and ideas, and the deliveryman was only a part-time job.
He started browsing Gordon in 2013 and started leaving comments in 2015.
The defendant also said that he had a lot of research on "prophecy". In 2014, he deciphered Shennong's "Lianshan Yi" and Xuanyuan's "Guizang Yi", and the "Tian Di Chen Yu" in his online name was also taken from them.
As for the "anti-ye" in the screen name, he believes that the Christian Book of Revelation is just a rewritten word.

The defendant also alleged that he had been addicted to computer games from 2012 to 2018 and could not distinguish between the real and virtual worlds.
The defendant, who was originally a liberal arts student, only had a literal understanding of nitroglycerin. He never intended to incite or advocate others to make explosives, and most of the comments in his posts were "unpleasant and rude," so he thought that no one would at all. The judge finally asked how the defendant became a historian by "self-study". The defendant said that by "reading books and writing books all the time", he taught himself, including "The Analects of Confucius", "Great Learning", "The Doctrine of the Mean", "Mencius", etc., plus his own Thinking about history and have published his own historical works.
The other defendant agreed that he had not taken any history-related courses in the past.
