After two years without an Oktoberfest, the chicken and duck roastery AMMER is bringing the organic free-range duck to the Oktoberfest table for the first time.

Pure enjoyment from animal-friendly production.

The oldest chicken roastery in the world has been serving its guests in the unique Art Nouveau tent and in the beer garden since 1885 - with crispy chicken, the AMMER classic, and delicious pepper bites, Regensburger, cheese specialties and a colorful selection of dishes from regional and ecological cultivation in organic quality and with awarded the Bavarian organic seal.

This regionally typical and high-quality cuisine was awarded again shortly before the start of the Wiesn: The AMMER is again an "Excellent Bavarian Festival Tent".

Whoever visits the AMMER tent is greeted with warmth and professional service.

“ We stand for the traditional and the modern.

Our guests are Munich families and groups with high standards of quality and taste,” says landlord Josef Schmidbauer, who is also known as “the chicken understander”.

Which is no longer quite accurate, because with the organic duck there's another star on the menu with what it takes to become an AMMER classic.

The fifth-generation host knows exactly what his Oktoberfest guests want: "Our audience wants to be spoiled and at the same time be able to enjoy a cool draft Augustiner and high-quality organic food".

Everyone will find their happiness on the menu - the Glücksfibel - of the family business: On the Fliegerglück page there is the crispy organic chicken, the grilled organic duck, the duck and chicken Gröstl (Goggola) and the popular Munich quartl - a quarter organic - Chicken for the little hunger.

At the popular round table for four people with organic chicken and ducks, no organic palate will go hungry.

This year, vegans and vegetarians will find an even larger organic selection on the AMMER menu, such as the crisp Wiesnbowl, the Wiesnsalat or the baked potato with a crowning glory.

Whether it's snacks or AMMER-Brettl - many things are available in vegan and vegetarian variations.

Cheese specialties and sweet potato soup promise culinary delights.

And if you still dare to have a dessert - at the AMMER, sweet luck awaits with apple strudel,

Kaiserschmarrn, waffles, chocolate cake and other delicacies.

Goggola and Allgäu cheese spaetzle are on the menu as smaller portions for seniors.

And for the little AMMER guests, there are also dumplings, pasta, fries and spaetzle on the children's menu.

Sustainability and organic have always been important to AMMER: Festwirt Schmidbauer switched to organic chicken back in 1999.

The pretzels come from the region from the Piller bakery in Karlsfeld.

Since 2006, the non-profit inclusion company Regenbogen-Arbeit has been supplying ready-to-cook potatoes and herbs for the AMMER specialties, organic of course.

Simply digital via app and classic on foot: the family business is expanding its commitment against food waste: In addition to the existing cooperation with "Foodsharing", another partner is on board with "Too good to go": In its app for food rescue, the AMMER is closed with surprise packages represented at a greatly reduced fixed price.

AMMER's will to change is not just limited to breaking new ground in culinary terms.

The AMMER tent has been climate-neutral for six years.

Tradition, quality and sustainable action are important to the organic pioneers Schmidbauer and managing director Claudia Trott.

The DACHAUER RUNDSCHAU and Die Hühner- und Entenbraterei AMMER are giving away ten 40-euro vouchers.

If you want to win, you have to fill out the competition form by Friday, September 23rd.

The keyword is "chicken and duck roastery AMMER" and his own family name.
