Despite the freezing temperatures, the atmosphere in the ZDF television garden was heated up again.
Right at the beginning, the fans applauded Andrea Kiewel for several minutes.
The presenter probably didn't expect that and has to wipe the tears from her eyes.
Mainz – On Sunday, the penultimate edition of this year's ZDF television garden is already flickering across German TV screens.
The motto this time is "high up" and the audience is also highly motivated.
When Andrea Kiewel enters the ZDF Arena in Mainz, she is greeted with thunderous applause.
With this warm reception, the presenter gets wet eyes.

The penultimate time for this year is on Sunday (September 18, 2022): "Welcome to the ZDF television garden".
This time, Andrea Kiewel greets her viewers with the motto "High up" and a floating star kitchen with Mario Kotaska.
There are also some highlights on stage: Lou Bega, Status Quo, Eloy de Jong, Mike Leon Grosch and Paulina Wagner are among the guests.
The audience in the ZDF television garden cheered on Andrea Kiewel right from the start.

But before the ZDF television garden can even start, Andrea Kiewel is overwhelmed by her emotions in the first few minutes, as reported by tz.de.
The presenter is greeted with applause lasting several minutes, standing ovations and a Laola wave.
Too much for Andrea Kiewel.

The ZDF television garden flickered across domestic TV screens in 1986.
At that time, Ilona Christen moderated the cult show in the second.
Andrea Kiewel has been the presenter since 2000, albeit with interruptions.
Because of allegations of surreptitious advertising, the television garden had to be handed over in 2007, but has been the moderator of the ZDF television garden again since 2009.
On 2014, the ZDF television garden was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running live open-air entertainment show.

Andrea Kiewel probably didn't expect so much enthusiasm.
She shakes her head in surprise.
"How nice.
Many Thanks.
It's not just a show, it's family," said the presenter, beaming with joy.
But the applause doesn't stop there.
Moved, she has to clear her throat and then her eyes get quite wet.
Embarrassed, Andrea Kiewel wipes the tears from her eyes and jokes: "I've been in the mask for so long.
Everything is going well now."

But according to the motto "The show must go on", Andrea Kiewel goes back to day-to-day business and moderates her first musical guests.
Speaking of musical guests: there is good news for all Nicole fans.
The ESC icon was supposed to appear in the ZDF television garden a few months ago.
However, due to a COVID infection, that fell through.
Now Nicole is catching up on her television garden appearance.
