The Lyon crèche in which an 11-month-old girl died on June 22, 2022, probably killed by an employee who made her ingest a caustic product, has been definitively closed by the People & Baby group.
The establishment had been administratively closed by the Rhône prefecture since the tragedy.
According to Francetvinfo, which reveals the information, the company anticipated a probable decision from the public services, while the metropolis of Lyon made the request for closure to the prefecture.
Investigators from the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs (Igas) must also come to Lyon on Wednesday September 21 for an administrative investigation stage.

Another legal procedure is also underway.
Myriam J., the employee suspected of the homicide, was alone on the morning of the tragedy in this crèche in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon.
She was indicted on June 24 for the voluntary homicide of little Lisa, 11 months.
She had admitted "
that overwhelmed by the crying of the child, she had sprinkled him and then made him ingest a caustic product
", according to the Lyon prosecutor's office.
She has since been in pre-trial detention.
Crèches: the use of unqualified staff is controversial
According to Francetvinfo, the administrative investigation points out that the People & Baby group failed to update the crèche staff changes with the maternal and child protection (PMI), which therefore did not know if the employees were indeed authorized to exercise.
"
If these shortcomings do not explain the gesture of the employee, they do not allow to establish a climate of trust with the group People & Baby
