A fire broke out in the forests of the coastal resort of Marmaris in southwestern Turkey today, in an area that witnessed similar incidents several months ago.
The Associated Press reported that a fire broke out in the coastal resort of Marmaris on the Mediterranean coast, which is among the popular tourist destinations in Turkey, especially during the summer.
A video clip circulating on Twitter showed a fire on a mountain in the (Yalanji Bogaz) area of Mugla province, and smoke rose after the winds helped fan it and spread it.
And last summer, fires fueled by strong winds and high temperatures swept through forests in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions of Turkey, including Marmaris, killing at least eight people and killing a large number of animals.
