With the participation of a number of charities and volunteers, the Peacemakers Development Association held a carnival (Lama and Hekaya 2) in Al-Orouba Park in Lattakia today, which included an exhibition of handicrafts, drawing, food and medical products and will last for four days.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Development Peace Makers Association, Muhammad Tarifi, told SANA reporter that the carnival is part of the annual campaign held by the association entitled “Connecting in Peace,” which works to build the capacity of young people and includes (values) trips, in which they talk about societal concepts and moral values ​​so that young people get to know themselves, which It is reflected on their families and their environment, in addition to the (Connected to Peace) camp, which opens dialogue spaces related to peace building and youth capacity development, and an annual honoring ceremony for the participants, collaborators and contributors to this campaign.

The head of the Charitable Society for Breast Cancer, Gharaa Talib, stated that they participated in the work of patients and survivors of breast cancer through manual work to prove their effectiveness in society and that they are capable of production.

Wadea Qaqa'a from the Board of Directors of the Bashayer Al-Nour Association for Children with Autism and Down Syndrome added that the association participates in every occasion to display children's products, allowing them to interact with the environment and prove their ability to learn and engage in society.

The autistic child, Hassan Arabi Katbi, participates in his handicrafts of soap decorations, candles, and woolen crafts, while Rasha Nabea's participation in her woolen and beadwork, turns them into sculptures in the form of trees, fish tanks and dolls.

Fadia Kouika displays her artworks on ceramics, wood, pebbles, cotton and pine, while Zaki Samhani displays his art of drawing and writing on cacti and dried herbs.

The Rural Women's Association participates in its products of soap, cleaning means, foodstuffs and cacti. Rasha Dargham displays her talents through her artistic paintings, such as Buddha painting using watercolors, acrylics and embroidered paintings, in addition to paintings drawn with charcoal, lead, clay figures and accessories.

The blind Ali Shakouhi from the Association for the Welfare of the Blind expressed his happiness at his visit to the carnival, despite his absence this year, pointing out that his visit came because of his belief in the idea of ​​making peace and calling for love and brotherhood.

The two visitors, Walaa and Suad Al-Shanta, expressed their admiration for the carnival and the exhibition, and its cosmetics, perfumes, accessories and handicrafts, noting that the idea of ​​the carnival is wonderful and necessary to spread peace, love and intimacy.
